RCS (Rich Communication Services) is an upgrade to SMS that enables you to send
messages using your brand as the sender ID instead of a generic phone number,
create rich media messages (coming soon!), and read receipts. It enhances customer
engagement by offering a more interactive and engaging messaging experience compared
to traditional SMS.
How can I add my number as a tester for my RCS Agent?
To become a tester you can either:
- Add your mobile phone number during the agent creation flow.
- Go to the Test numbers tab once the agent is created and add a new number.
Ensure each phone number is RCS compatible and each tester needs to accept the tester request sent to their phone.
Then follow these steps:
1. Input a valid number link to a mobile device RCS capable and click on Add a test number.

Enable RCS on your device or try out with another number.
B) Confirm number tester status by accepting Google's invite on your phone - Click Make me a tester on your phone and then click Confirm on the platform.
3.
A) Success - You accepted Google's invite and we checked your phone number capability you are now able to receive and send test messages from your device.
B) Declined - You declined Google's invite and we were unable to check your phone number capability. Click on the initial Google's invite message to become a tester Make me a tester on your phone and then click on Try again on the platform.
C) Try another number - You declined Google's invite and we were unable to check your phone number capability. You want to submit a new number as tester. Input your new number and click on Resend test message.
How do I ensure my phone is RCS enabled?
To enable RCS on Android, open the Google Messages app, go to Messages Settings > RCS chats, and toggle on Turn on RCS chats.
Apple enables RCS support with iOS 18.1 and above.
My phone number is not accepted as a test number?
1. Ensure your phone number is linked to an RCS capable device. see How do I ensure my phone is RCS enabled?
2. Check your messaging app for a message from RBM Tester Management Console.
3. Click Make me a tester in the message to become a tester.
Can I add multiple test numbers?
Yes, after verifying your initial number, you can add additional test numbers for colleagues or other testers to ensure comprehensive testing. In order to do so navigate to Settings > Numbers > Click on View my agent > Test numbers > Add a test number and follow the instruction in the section How can I add my number as a tester for my RCS Agent?
