BigCommerce | How to install the Sinch Engage app for BigCommerce

You can start connecting Sinch Engage app to BigCommerce from a few different places:

BigCommerce Marketplace

To find and install the Sinch Engage app (Sinch: Automated SMS & MMS Marketing) from the BigCommerce App Marketplace:

  1. Search for "Sinch: Automated SMS & MMS Marketing".
  2. Select the Sinch: Automated SMS & MMS Marketing app from the list.
  3. Click the Get this app button.
  4. You'll be taken to the BigCommerce screen to Log in (if you have an existing BigCommerce store) or Sign up (if you are new to BigCommerce). Click on the option that applies to log in to your BigCommerce account.
  5. Once you're logged in to BigCommerce, click on Install and then review the acknowledgement. Check the box to confirm and then click on Confirm.
  6. You'll need to connect to your Sinch Engage account - you'll be prompted to Start a new trial or connect to an existing account. 

    • If you don't already have a Sinch Engage account, click Start a new trial. You'll be taken to the Sinch Engage screen to create an account and get started with your 14-day trial. If you have an existing Sinch Engage account, you can choose to click Log in.

      Note that when you create a new trial account, you'll be given a balance of 25 free credits to help get you started.

    • If you Log in, you'll need to select the account you want to connect. If your account is pre-paid, click on Request to upgrade and a team member will reach out to discuss your options.
  7. Once you're verified and logged in, you can select the account you want to connect to BigCommerce. Click Choose Account and you'll be directed to the Integrations page in the Sinch Engage platform - the BigCommerce integration should appear as connected.
  8. Once you've created your Sinch Engage account, you'll be presented with a modal detailing the integration. Check the box to sync your contacts from BigCommerce. Read through the information to understand the terms and conditions and then click Next.
  9. You'll need to configure your SMS Opt-in settings. It's important that you select the correct opt-in method as different regions have different legislation for collecting consent to send SMS.
  10. Click Connect to complete the connection.

Sinch Engage - Integrations page

If you have an existing Sinch Engage account, to install the BigCommerce App: 

  1. Log in to the Sinch Engage platform.
  2. From the left-side navigation bar, click on Extensions and then Integrations.
  3. Locate the BigCommerce integration tile and click Install.
  4. Click Continue to be redirected to the BigCommerce marketplace to make the initial connection before completing your set up in Sinch Engage. Follow the prompts to log in and connect your account.
  5. Once you've connected your Sinch Engage account, you'll be presented with a modal detailing the integration. Check the box to sync your contacts from BigCommerce. Read through the information to understand the terms and conditions and then click Next.

  7. Click Connect to complete the connection.

Sinch Engage Integrations Marketplace

To find and install the BigCommerce integration from the Sinch Engage Integrations Marketplace:

  1. Search for "BigCommerce".
  2. Select the BigCommerce app from the list.
  3. You'll be taken to the BigCommerce page where you can click Get the app or Book a demo.
