Need to include or update a purchase order (PO) number for your invoices? Whether you're getting started with a new subscription or updating billing details, here's how we can help.
Requesting a quote to submit a purchase order
Some organizations need a formal quote to get internal approval before issuing a PO. If that's you, we’re happy to provide one.
What to include in your quote request:
- Your billing name and address
- Your Sinch Engage account number - this can be found either on an invoice or by logging into the account and navigating to the Billing Details section.
- Subscription details and how long do you want the quote to cover? (e.g. 12 months at $50 per month)
- Preferred start date - we typically quote from the 1st of the current month.
- Any specific formatting needs e.g. the word “quote” must appear
Once we receive your request, we’ll create a PDF quote based on your current subscription and email it to you. You can then submit this to your finance team to generate a PO.
Submitting a purchase order number
Once your team has approved the quote and issued a purchase order, send the PO to us by replying to your original case or creating a new one.
Here’s what happens next:
If the PO covers a single month or invoice:
- Most of the time, no action is needed as you’re just letting us know which PO number you’ll use to pay.
- If you’d like the invoice to reflect the PO, let us know and we’ll ask our Finance team to reissue it.
If the PO covers multiple months or is a bulk amount (e.g. $5,000 or 12 months of charges):
- This PO will be applied to all future invoices until a new PO is issued.
- We’ll update your account in our billing system to reflect the new PO.
For non-US/Canada customers, our Finance team will add the PO and close the case.
For customers in the US or Canada, a PO often confirms acceptance of a new subscription plan. In this case:
- We’ll loop in your Account Manager to confirm the plan details.
- We’ll only update the PO in our system once we’ve verified everything lines up as this helps avoid billing mismatches and delays.
Need to see the PO on your invoice?
Let us know. If your PO needs to appear directly on an invoice, we’ll create a new version and send it to you.
