Say you're working on a deal, and the chosen method of communication for your client is SMS. There are multiple stakeholders attached to the deal, including your manager. They want to be able to see what you've been communicating, so they can track SMS usage and ROI.
You can easily send SMS messages directly from a Deal to any associated contacts, providing each contact has a valid phone number.
1. Start by going to Sales, and then Deals:
2. Select the deal you wish to work on.
3. In the menu on the right-hand side under the SMS heading, click on Actions for the SMS for HubSpot by MessageMedia item.
4. In the resulting drop-down menu, select the contact you want to send an SMS to:
5. Create your message, and hit Send Now:
6. All done. You'll be able to see all the SMS messages you've sent to associated contacts in the deal Activities tab:
Limitations
- If an SMS is sent to an associated contact from their profile and not the Deal itself, then that message won't appear in the Deal activity timeline.
